Barman Mehvar Spadana claims to have developed a wide range of digital technologies and has experience in their implementation. What is this claim based on?
Raman Ravala:
At Barman Mehvar Spadana, we have built our product development roadmap on the foundation of deep learning and mastery of the technologies we use. A harsh reality in the field of research and development is the lack of skilled professionals with a genuine passion for innovation. Unfortunately, many teams encounter individuals who either have a narrow, self-centered vision or disrupt projects with instability. In such cases, you either halt your progress or bear the burden and rebuild everything from scratch, which is exactly what we did.
In 2020, our company developed its first prototype system. Despite budget constraints, we successfully brought the product to the testing phase. To minimize costs, we outsourced various components to independent teams, which, while reducing expenses, posed challenges in integration and synchronization. Despite these complexities, we managed to create a fully domestic product and secured knowledge-based certification, validating its authenticity and innovation.
Afterward, we assembled a professional technical team and initiated the process for obtaining the National Passive Defense Organization’s certification. The obstacles we encountered seemed insurmountable from a management perspective, yet we successfully obtained one of the most stringent and demanding approvals in the country.

Did you face any challenges along the way?
Absolutely, we faced significant obstacles. Just one week before our final product testing phase, our lead system engineer, who was responsible for the core product development, suddenly decided to leave the company and relocate abroad.
This situation left us in a critical predicament, as we quickly realized that the codebase left behind, though seemingly functional, contained serious flaws under real operational pressure.
At that moment, we made the bold decision to completely redesign the system from scratch, ensuring the highest possible quality. Although this decision was costly and time-consuming, it ultimately paid off, allowing us to pass all laboratory tests and secure final certification.
This system was developed as an innovative replacement for foreign products that lacked local support. By deeply analyzing the limitations of imported software and PLCs, we designed a fully domestic and modern solution to reduce national dependency on foreign technologies. The most valuable lesson we learned was the importance of having full technical knowledge of our own technology to prevent being vulnerable to unreliable individuals in the future.

What steps did your company take after this success?
Raman Ravala:
We entered the pilot phase and, with our experienced team, successfully implemented Iran’s first smart CNG station monitoring and control system. However, challenges in the B2G (Business-to-Government) market led us to reconsider our business strategy, shifting our focus towards direct engagement with the public.
This prompted us to develop the Clinicians.ir platform, a digital health and beauty service ecosystem connecting clinics directly to customers. With the expertise of our team, Clinicians.ir became the first specialized platform of its kind in Iran, providing professional and modern services to users.

Is this your primary innovation? There are other platforms with similar business models.
